Chapter 2-
As I walked through the tunnel leading me from the plane to the airport terminal , a gush of warm air hit me in the face. The temperature difference between France and this tropical country was much more than I had expected. I reached down the loosen the collar of my shirt, the sweat drops already forming on my fore head. 'Belington could have given me a warning...' I thought grudgingly as I made my way slowly thought the long line to the customs counter. No special treatment here, just standing around waiting like everyone else. When I reached the counter I pulled out my passport. Obviously it wasn't my real passport. I haven't used
that one in years. Belington had hooked me up with this one right before I left on this mission.
As the costums guy handed it back to me I stole a glance at the name inside the book. Janet Inglodish. "Inglodish? What kind of name is that!?" I thought in anger, "Don't tell me Jack still has a grudge about the whole DotA thing..." Jack was one of the techies ... the people responsible for getting me everything I need to do my job on the field. He was also formally the best DotA player in the French Secret Service... until I came along and stole his title from him.
Having no luggage, it usually containing the tools of my trade hence requiring separate transport, I was one of the first passengers off the plane. Glancing around the room I looked for the woman named Bella who was, according to Belington, to be my field partner and Singaporean correspondent. She wasn't hard to spot, her shirt was a very bright shade of blue. " I want that shirt.." I thought as I walked toward her.
"In Main the rain stays mainly in the planes," she said as a I neared her. At least shed been properly briefed... I thought before replying, "and isn't it a shame." We really have to think of some better secret codes for the agency. The normal agent formalities over with Bella greeted me yet again. "Welcome to Singapore," she said with a smile ,"We''ll take you to your hotel and then head off to the Triple S building." "That's alright," I replied. With a twinkle in my eye and a smile slowly spreading across me face I continued, "You see... I have a plan I'd like to run by you first."
