Ugh getting wet sucks!
I should probably not blog in the morning.. all I've done so far is wake up and drink coffee -.- <--- exciting. Yesterday though something worth telling about happened! Following is an account of my afternoon...
3.30 pm
My mom told me I had to go meet Iida at her Kumon (tuition center at 4.30) at paradize center. I dressed quickly ( yes I was still in my PJs I pretty much live in them -.-) and headed to take the bus to fortune center first since I wanted to go to the art store.
3.45
I got onto the bus. The sky looked pretty dark at this point but not to bad and since I usually carry an umbrella with me.. I wasn't to afraid of the rain.
4.00
I got of the bus near fortune center. To get of the bus and under the relative "safety" of the bus stand I had to leap through a curtain of water. I kid you not! It was like a mini water fall! I jumped and almost knocked over some people who were huddling under the bus stand for safety. Some how I managed to maneuver my self into a corner of the bus stand that wasn't to overly crowded. It wasn't dry thought... . The rain was blowing in side ways into the bus stand!! People were standing there with their umbrellas out using them as little shields to cover their faces. I glanced at my watch and realized I really really had to get going.
4.08
Taking out my umbrella from my bag and putting my hand phone in there for safe keeping. I made a mad rush from one bus stand to the other... followed closely by two little kids who'd been next to me under the other bus stand. I got there and realized i was SOAKED. My darn umbrella had done me no good! My hair was even wet. Somehow the little kids had managed to remain relatively dry. They sorta looked at me like i was crazy.
4.10
I rushed to the fortune center. My sneakers were at this point soaked through. I could actually hear the water in them.! <-- k not hear but feel ohhh yes. I turned around and there were those unnaturally dry little kids! People were looking from them, to me, to them, and back to me. When traffic light changed I had to rush out again.. followed by the kids.
4.13
I was now at the 101 building opposite the fortune building. It was only here that the dry kids left my side, leaving me soaked and alone. I splish splashed my way to the art friend and stepped inside. The clerk behind the counter asked me "What happened!?" I smiled and replied in a voice that I hope didn't sound to 'i've just spend the wettest 13 minutes of my life swimming here through the rain' that " The wind.. blows sideways." The girls who were just getting ready to step out ( and were still dry) got these really shocked looks on their faces. I brought my paint and headed out.
4.22
I called Iida at this point to tell her 1. im wet 2. im cold and 3. im seeking shelter. When I told her where I was, Iida miss understood me for some reason. Instead of thinking i was a 5 minute walk away, she thought i was a 15+ minute walk away. Telling me that " since your already wet it wont matter if you get wetter" she instructed me to still meet her at 4.30. Wringing the water out of my clothes and putting my hair up with a clip, I headed out into the rain again.
4.29
I reached the paradize center... very very wet. I went and stood outside Iida's kumon center and waited for her to come out.
4.33
Still no Iida. Lots of little kids who gave me funny looks though. There was a small lake forming where I stood at this point.
4.34
Iida finally comes out!!
Lesson learned? Umbrellas don't work.
