Ack its been a few days since I've blogged anything! =.= I actually started to write entries but @.@ I didn't end up finishing them so I couldn't post. My week so far has been pretty uneventful. Full of math more math and a little bit of math on top of the math. :c I HATE MATH!!! Ok hate is to strong a word.... I dislike math with a burning passion. : D

We'll only a little over a week till my exams and then im math free!! Woohoo!! I'll be in such a good mood at camp I'll probably scare people.

-.- It has come to my attention yet again that people are visiting and NOT TAGGING!!! :c It makes me sad!! I spend so long writing none sense and then people don't leave tags .... those of you who read but don't tag are what I like to call my "semi-stalker readers" -.- It's like... going out to visit your friend.. but instead of saying hi and letting them know you've come to visit you just sit and watch what ever your friend is doing at that moment. Ok moving on ... -.- I seem to be falling into a slightly depressed mode. It's a combination of everything happening in my life I guess. Not to worry of course since I tend to bounce back rejuvenated after a bit. My down time is really my think time ... when I let my brain grind all the information I've gathered and then re-analyze and reorganize it. @.@ I ponder little things to much ... I know!! But its the Chu Chu way! I can't help it. :c

But : D on the positive June looks to be a month to look forward too! First I have my exams =.= (Ok not fun) then camp : D then the band auditions : D then a cruise : D and then.. something that I forgot -.- woohoo for fun filled June!!

So I just got home from having my hair cut. -.- Now... I'm the type of girl who typically likes things like clothes, make-up, nail-polish, perfumes, hair care products ect. BUT :c I don't like getting my hair cut!!!

I was thinking about it on the way back home ... my dislike of hair cuts that is.. and I remembered that at one point I didn't dislike hair cuts. : D Why? Because my hair dresser at the time was a good looking man LOL x) But :c my mom had to go and ruin it by telling me that he @.@ wore lip gloss. Now... either he was busy doing something else then just cutting hair and THATS how he got the lip gloss on.... or he applied it himself. =.= Sadly the second seems more likely.... any way I don't go there anymore so -.- no need to feel sad that women all over the world have one less good looking man to choose from.

What I actually wanted to blog about was something that I thought of on Wed as I listened to Ven. Dr. Anuruddha talk. I thought of my most perfect memory... you know the kind of memory I mean.. the kind that seems utterly out of this world -.- almost more dream then reality. Mine goes as followed.

The last time I went to Finland was many years ago... during the summertime. We only stayed for about two weeks spending most of the time in Helsinki, the capital of Finland, but.. we went out to the country side to visit my Grandpa and his wife who had rented a small cottage for the summer. Renting a place away from the city is a very common Finnish practice during the summer time.. and when I was younger my family used to rent a cabin out in the woods and spend a few days or even weeks there.

It's hard to describe how peaceful it is out in the woods ... its as though the rest of the world has stopped... as though time standing still for you. The only sounds you hear are those of birds chirping in the trees.. of the wind as in gently rustles the leaves and the water if your fortunate enough to find yourself close to a river or the ocean.

It was to a place like this that my Grandpa and his wife had retreated too and where they invited us to come spend the day. We drove through wheat fields on old dirt roads.. through roads leading through woods until we finally came to the little cabin they had rented. A really small place.. perfect for two people but a little crapped for the 8 of us to be in at once, so us kids jumped into our swim suits and made our way through the forest bare foot to the water.

The water wasn't the sea.. it was river. So there were plants growing along the shore and the water was cool and dark with a rocky bottom. Swimming in a river is totally different from swimming at the beach or in a pool. The water is fresh.. and soft. And you can hear the plants being swayed by the wind around you. There was small floating dock leading out into the water and we walked along it and climbed down the little later into the water. Swimming and splashing and ... well the rest of the story isn't mine to tell but lets just say an important part of clothing was lost and the person who list it refused to come out of the water until a towel was brought much to the amusement of the rest of us. Then after swimming our parents called us to come back to the cabin and we made out way back through the woods up to where the adults were.

Our grandpa had heated up the sauna for us while we were swimming. Not one of those electric kinds but the real old fashioned kind where you have to put wood inside... wood my grandpa had cut earlier in the day. I remember my dad went out and made a whip thing out of birch branches.... I don't know how to describe it or what its called -.- but its basically birch tree branches tied together. And then you hit your skin with it to make the blood flow faster. LOL we had so much fun with that thing.. playfully hitting each other while Oscar informed us that because hes "American" he hates the sauna and he hates the heat.

Then my grandpa took the boys fishing while my daddy, Iida and me went to take the old row boat we found pulled up on shore for a test drive. LOL so much fun rowing in that thing. Seeing other people further down the river swimming and splashing. Then when me and Iida tried to steer we accidentally crashed into a bunch of plants growing in the water along the shore and our Daddy scolded us a bit. Then we rowed back to shore and the feast that awaited.

My favorite part about Finland besides the fact that I find the nature there so beautiful is the food... and not just any food but the bread. Finnish rye breads is in my mind the best bread in the world. And after the bread comes the fish. Fish and bread... I could live of those two thing. Those and berries which we can pick in the woods during certain times of the year.

I was happy truly happy that day enjoying the company of my family and I didn't want to leave... but eventually the time came for us to head out and saying good bye to our grandpa and his wife... we packed ourselves into our car and started the long drive back to where we were staying. It was when we came out of the woods and onto the dirt road that went through a wheat field that I saw what I still consider to be one of the most beautiful events I've had the fortune to witness.

I saw mist...Flowing over the road... over the wheat. I saw the sky alight with shades of red, pink, and yellow painting everything around us in those shades... even the mist. I can't describe it in words.. because words aren't enough. But in that one moment t I felt... more calm and peaceful then I've ever felt and i realized... that no matter how bad things are.. how bad things get.. there is still beauty in the world. There is still goodness. I want to paint what I saw one day.. because I still have that picture in my mind so clearly. I still remember how my whole family seemed to quiet down ... and just enjoy.

That's my perfect day... -.- my writing doesn't do it justice... but I hope you get at least a little glimpse of what that day was like for me. That memory isn't a place I return to often.. I just think about it sometimes and smile.

Then came my favorite part of visiting Finland... the food! The bread especially. The best bread I have ever had has always been Finnish bread. The really thick and dark rye breads. A

@.@ Ohyeah! That's the guy I debated with. Anyway ... my dad started to get more into Eastern things since he was spending more time in Asia and especially India. -.- And then my parents told us we were going to Asia for a "vacation" Yeeeeaaaah... a very permanent vacation!!

We ended up moving to Singapore and have been here ever since. And now : D I'm a proud member of Singapore Buddhist Mission Youth. -.- Thats the short ending. The long ending is.. well longer.

My first really exposure to Buddhism was during the June 2006 Camp Ehi Passiko held by SBMY. I went really because my parents wanted me to -.- I'm not really the camp going type. I love air conditioning, soft beds, warm water, =.= basically all of the things you don't generally find at camp. Which is why usually I avoid them like the plague.

A friend of mine had to go through some heart break today as well do eventually. Imagine his (and my) surprise when I started to talk about the 4 Noble Truths. -.- I usually don't mention Buddhist concepts/views to my friends.. especially not American friends. Why? Because I think everyone is entitled to their own religious views -.- and its not nice to impose ... but the 4 Noble Truths seemed to fit so perfectly with what was bothering him. I guess you could call it a epiphany for me.

It set me thinking about my views on life as they are today. What am I?? Am I really Buddhist? Or a fusion of different things. I was born Christian technically speaking -.- and I'm baptized but.. I've never felt close to that religion. Well -.- I did pray sometimes when I was feeling at my lowest but that was when I was 8 or 9, but for selfish things. Since my family wasn't religious I grew up not hearing anything good... or bad about any religion. We had Bibles.. but we also had books on Buddhism and other eastern religions.

When we loved to the States when I was 7 turning 8 ... I didn't speak any English. -.- Even when I started school... I didn't speak any. But I remember the first few girls who became my friends. I was happy. : D Anyways one of the girls came from a rather religious family -.- a rather Christian family and it was through her that I became involved with this one Church. -.- I went for 2 of their camps.

But.. the religion itself never really interested me -.- why?? Because they told me I was a "sheep". @.@ A SHEEP!? "We are all sheep in God's flock" That's what they said... My thoughts were " ...but sheep o_o are sorta mindless... and just followed blindly. I don't WANT to be a sheep!" -.- Basically a simple reference to sheep was all it took to turn me off being a Christian.

Well.. technically I was still a "Christian" but I wasn't a practicing one.. and I didn't believe really in God. -.- I only believe in him when I wanted something to happen @.@ Like this...


-.- Oh yes.. I was very mature back then. Anyway I wasn't really an Atheist.. but I didn't believe there was "one God" and that every religion besides Christianity was wrong. -.- I was more "It's all just names for the same universal energy!!" By then I'd stopped saying I was Christian (this was when I was around 14) and started saying I wasn't anything.

I remember onetime in science class we were learning about evolution when one of the Christian guys stood up angry saying we're all decedent from Adam and Eve. @.@ And I was like wtf... aaaand sorta -.- started debating with him. Of course I couldn't convince him -.-

O_O out of steam.. the Buddhist part of my adventures will have to wait till next time : D

Thursday-

I meet Belala at 2ish =D and we went Shoe-ping (shoe shoping) We we're actually looking for a pair of heels for Bel and a dress for me put @.@ I ended up buying shoes instead. Why?? Because I found nice gold ones at 28 dollars =D *score* A girl can never have too many high heels!!..........ok she can =.= Here me and Belala are on the MRT
and let me just sat OH MY BUDDHA!! why is my hair that blonde!?!?!?! =.= I've been thinking its darker but its so light!! I think the sun is bleaching it lighter -.- that and my skin which is pretty white too ... im turning pale!!...ok fine paler!! And no im not bored =.= I'm simply worn out from shoe-ping

Then we had our PTF meeting at Starbucks ( coffee =D ) at which I used my new PINK laptop! =.= But carrying that thing around all day wasn't really fun ... but I felt so pro using it in public =D so the inconvenience of having to carry it around was totally worth while!! *score!!*

The only bad thing about the day was that I wasn't able to go with my mom to drop of the medical supplies we're sending to Burma -.- The poor people there are living in such awful conditions and suffering so much right now. Seeing the picture on Shi Xiong's blog of the young children made me think of what it would be like if one of my own siblings was floating in the water like that... it's an awful way to die.. and to die before you have had a chance to experience the human life you have been given is.. well lets just say I got a little teary eyed looking at those children and I wish there was more I could do to help the ones who are still alive and suffering.

O_O upon visiting Kaiwens blog earlier today... I made a shocking discovery. His stat reader said... 1540!!! :c Now .. normally I wouldn't be bothered by someone else's stat counter being higher then mine ... but Kaiwen's blog is about the same age as mine and has 900 more page visits!!! -.- Unless Kaiwen visits his own blog.. a lot... the only explanation is people prefer his blog to mine! ... well he also has a lot longer link list ... but o_o thats besides the point. The point is that my ramblings about my life aren't apparently reader magnets.

I need something new.. something ... something o_o ROMANTIC!!! And that is how Chulia ... the Relationship Guru was born. I joked about writing about romantic problems last month ... (prepare for flash back)

:c I think I've missed my 100th post!! I wanted to do what other people do and "celebrate" my 100th post but -.- I've surpassed it.. I think... In other news sry I haven't been blogging much @.@ I've been busy studying! Exams on June 7th!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :c

ALSO =D I'm finally getting a new comp!!! GOOD BYE OLD ONE!! -.- I've had the one I'm on right now for 6 years... there's a lot of memories tied up to this comp ... most of them memories that involve me doing something BAD to the comp... but it's always sprung back from the dead. My new comps is coming tonight! =D It's PINK

Also in defense of the allegations that I have "no balls" -.- I'd like to point out IM A GIRL. And also that I'M A LIBRA. That means I'm uber indecisive! Just deal with it -.- One day I will save everyone by being careful. (Nest could add that into the story line =D)

Despite what kaiwen says.. i really WAS sick!!!! :c I woke up on Sat with a slight headache but -.- since it was a PTF day I went over to SBM at 11 am only to find @.@ the front door was locked!
So then I called Zeming ( who had exams that day @.@ but not until 1) and he offered to drop by before he went for his exam -.- but everyone else in PTF was late too :c so I had to wait alone for 1 hour. But thats ok because it gave me time to eat my breakfast bar and look through Belala's book (were u able to fetch it?? :c) Then at 12 Belala arrived as well as Zeming a few minutes later. =D

So we were let into SBM where we worked out a plan for that days PTF lesson. Then at 1 the kids arrived and we had a nice lesson where we made Mother's Day presents and talked about the debt we owe our mothers. Then it was time for sharing at 3 but -.- before I could join the rest I had to hop in a cab and take Oscar home. So I arrived at SBM at around 4ish just as everyone was ending their meditation. =.=

Then Xiong told us all to get into a circle and share the events of the week ( where of course I shared my clock thing -.-) and then Kevin had to go mention how ghosts "possess people through their feet and how when he was in the jungle he saw someone who was possessed" O_O AND then Mr. Ng ( I hope I have his name down right -.-) had to go and tell us ANOTHER ghost story. Ghosts + Me = O_O

Anywho while the rest of the group got to watch a Jet Li movie ( Ive never seen one :c and I wanted to see it!!!) me yh and zeming went upstairs to practice the Vesak Day songs. -.- By this time I was feeling pretty sick but :c Vesak day is important so I put it down to hunger and worked through it. =D HOHO Then Zeming left and I won't go into detail about the good time yinhong belala and I had. =D I will never be able to look at that music vid the same way haha!

Then since everyone was going to go eat I planned to join them -.- but.. when we arrived at the food place I was feeling really really really terrible. So I had to leave in stead of eat and I called Kaiwen up to tell him I couldn't play D&D -.- to which he replied I'd die.. (my character would die)... which is not really comforting.. but I cabbed home and crawled into bed as soon as I got into my room and feel asleep. Later when I woke up ( Don't worry Belala :o) it was actually Iida who woke me up not you -.- she came into the room to get something and since I'm a pretty light sleeper I woke up and THEN you called) I ate a piece of bread -.- and then took my temp which was LOW instead of high light I thought it would be -.- I normally have a body temp thats lower than normal but this is low for even me -.- by about .5 degrees

Anyways on Sunday the D&D gang got together and since I had taken some stuff to make me feel better I went apparently sick people don't do -.- BUT I was feeling a lot better!! However :c my appetite was a bit wacky yesterday so I didn't end up eating a lot -.- And now to show that I still am sick I'm going to take my body temp................. of 35.7 degrees celsius so AHA!! The normal body temp is 37 btw AND my temp was lower yesterday.

I keep seeing double numbers on clocks. Like 10:10 and 12:12 or 02:02. I'm not talking two or three times here... I'm talking ALOT its happened 3 times today -.- why?? because some clocks in my house are off by a few min and some by more and i just happen to look at them when they say a 12.12 ext. -.- EVEN THE CLOCK ON KAIWEN'S TAG BOARD SAID I TAGGED AT 12:12 !!!!!!! and then a few min later i looked at another clock and it says 12:12 too!! I'm statting to be really freaked out by it... its not normal I'm telling you!! Not normal!! It's been happening for about a week now :c I'm going to become paranoid at this rate! I'll have to unplug all the clocks in my house -.- but then I'll be worried some other sign will appear for me... darn it now I'm even more freaked out...... if you don't hear from me again -.- Bel .. u get the bb of h just like i promised. Maybe I'll ask a Ven. about it... -.- before I go CRAZY.
